Rather than sprinkle comments throughout Taming Email, I'm setting aside this item specifically for your questions and feedback.

  • All comments are moderated, and only comments and questions that add value or are on topic will be posted. As the owner of Taming Email, I get to decide what does, and does not meet that criteria.

  • No questions about tools - this is a site about effective email techniques and etiquette. In other words "How do I BCC someone in Outlook" is not a question for this venue. "When should you, or shouldn't you, use BCC" could be. I have another place for tools questions.

  • Comments posted don't imply anything about me or my opinion. By that I mean, just because I allow a comment through doesn't mean I endorse it, agree with it or even disagree with it.

  • By submitting a comment here, you're explicitly letting me do whatever I want with it, including quoting it or republishing it here, or in other venues.

  • I can't, and won't, answer every comment or question. Not enough hours in the day. However if I think your comment is interesting, adds value, or just something that everyone should see, I'll post it.

  • That being said, I may well use your comments to fine tune the direction of Taming Email. I welcome, and in fact am quite grateful, for any input you care to share.

  • I'm incorporate by reference all the Terms & Conditions as outlined at my other site, Ask Leo!.

As for recommended clients: why not look at Opera? It has a great email client with all the features you want as well as many more. And it comes free, bundled with a browser that is not IE, and is highly respected.
